PrimeTimers® of the Desert (PTOD) is happy to announce that our full schedule of regular activities is up and running again after heavy reductions during the COVID pandemic.
Our Weekly Mixers are happening every Monday at the Escena Golf Club restaurant. The venue is closed on Mondays, and we were able to work out with their management a chance for them to open special for our gentlemen to have drinks and social interchange most every week.
Recently, we had an Art Gallery Mixer at Melissa Morgan Fine Art on El Paseo in Palm Desert, a highly elegant upscale shopping area. Estimates are that about 200 PrimeTimers® attended this gallery function and enjoyed the collection.
Our Monthly Lunches and Dinners are back on the calendar as well. We had a recent dinner for 30 gents at Nicolino’s Cathedral City, and have La Tablita planned for May and T’s on the Green scheduled for June. We had April Lunch at Red Robin, and have May Lunch planned at Boozehound.
Our Special Events activities are underway with group theater events, a but trip to Laughlin, Nevada (see separate article), and Pride activities. Cathedral City Pride is the first Pride celebration of the year in the US, and happened March 24-26 with their famous bed races, music concerts, and a Sunday afternoon open-air picnic with informational booths. PTOD was of course prominently featured and made a lot of new friends, some local and some visiting from other areas. The weather was terrific for a day outdoors in the 70’s.
We welcome all PrimeTimers® chapters to visit us in Palm Springs and stop boy our various activities. Visit us http://www.ptod.us or contact us at info@ptod.us
